Field Robotics Laboratory has successfully secured approval for its TÜBİTAK 1505 University-Industry Collaboration Support Program project, titled "Wireless Access Point Placement and Validation with Collaborative Autonomous Ground and Aerial Robots". This project, led by Principal Investigator Haluk Bayram, is being carried out in partnership with Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş., the customer organization. The project aims to automate wireless network site survey, planning, and validation processes in large-scale environments such as factories, warehouses, and campuses. Using a multi-robot system consisting of two Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) and a tethered Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), optimal locations for wireless access points will be determined, and the deployed network will be tested and validated in the field. The project offers an innovative end-to-end solution that eliminates dependence on manual labor.
