Studies in the Field of Robotics at TUBITAK BILGEM
Speaker: Dr. Mehmet Haklıdır, Director of TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Artificial Intelligence Institute
Time: Friday, May 31, 2024, 11:00-12:00
Location: South Campus, Faculty of Engineering, VYKM2
Abstract: In this seminar, we will discuss three different studies conducted at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. First, we will review a pioneering study in the field of robotic surgery titled "Artificial Intelligence in Minimally Invasive Adrenalectomy: Using Deep Learning to Identify the Left Adrenal Vein".This study explores how deep learning algorithms can be used to identify critical anatomy and provide real-time guidance during adrenal surgery. Secondly, we will discuss the study titled "Estimation of Lifted Weight Category Using EEG-Equipped Headgear", which was carried out within the scope of the HumanE-AI-Net project to control the exoskeleton with EEG signals. This work explores how EEG signals can be used in brain-computer interface and neuroscience to detect variable weights lifted by a person. Finally, we will discuss the "Cloud-enabled Connected and Automated Mobility System Architecture Design and Experimental Validation: 5G-MOBIX Autonomous Truck Routing Use Case". This study shows how 5G networks can be used for cloud-enabled connected and autonomous mobility solutions.
